India has again recorded over 60,000 coronavirus cases in 24 hours, taking its tally way past the 2.3-million mark and its death toll has risen to 46,188, very close to the UK's toll. India's health ministry, however, on Tuesday said the country's COVID-19 mortality rate dropped below 2 per cent for the first time since the first lockdown.
